Tensions are at an all-time high in the halls of the Scepezian Prahwacódu (trans: Parliament), as the Government faces serious collapse. In the past week, there has been a massive internal conflict within the RPS (Royal Party of Scepez) about the standing of the party.
A large majority of their MPs began demanding sizable reforms in the parties functioning and policies, while being struck down by the party leadership and their Coalition partners.

Back in 2029, members split off form the party to form the UFS (United Front of Scepez) and went on to secure 22 seats in the PWC. Since then, the UFS has repeatedly stated that the RPS no longer has a place in Scepez in its current form.
"It’s a headless chicken, it doesn’t know what it wants or what it’s doing. All they’re doing is taking orders from the Coalition while not getting a word in themselves. It’s no surprise that the MPs are getting fed up with their voices being ignored,“ said Miheil Antvel, Chairman of the UFS.
"The way I see it, sooner or later they’re going to fall apart. And honestly, the sooner the better. I’ve gotten dozens of letters from their MPs wishing to switch over to our party. Our polling is at an all time high right now, and I’m confident we’ll do even better in the coming days,“ he added.
Indeed, just a few hours ago, over 40 of the RPS MPs walked out of the PWC in protest of the party. Some MPs have also publicly stated that they will leave the party and join the UFS, including the incumbent Cultural Minister Svatava Maritta.
Maritta has been noted for being critical of the party in recent times, and stated that "It’s only a matter of time when the RPS will feel that it’s as weak as the others are making it out to be.“ In a press release, the Prime Minister Aleksóz Tremel condemned the actions of the "rogue“ MPs and said, "This could lead to a collapse of the Government, which under no circumstances is a good thing.“
Now the question remains, what will happen if the 40 delegates from the RPS switch over to the UFS?
It will be highly likely that the coalition will not last, as the SNP and CPS don’t have enough seats to form a coalition on their own, and the opposition parties are strongly against working with them.
Mart Tammsaare, chairman of the EPP stated „We only have one goal, and that is to represent the local Estonians living here, which they [The Coalition] oppose. As such, I’m forced to oppose them.“
A likely outcome is that the RPS will attempt to pull a premature election, and switch sides then.
The UFS and EPP have both already stated that they would support such a move.
This could lead to the UFS garnering enough of the votes to surpass the SNP, and therefore have the right to form a new Government, which would have drastically different goals than the current one, both in its internal and foreign policy.
One thing is for certain, the political landscape of Scepez will not be the same again, as the country takes a sudden turn to the Right.
