In this article from the What You Need to Know series, I interviewed The Kingdom of Candro, a nation that is part of the Renegade Island Alliance (RIA). The questions lead to comments about military, economy, civil rights and government.

The terrain is mostly jungles and mountain ranges and the nation hosts 250 million citizens. Naple Vicky Candro is the leader of the constitutional monarchy. In the kingdom, capital offenses are punishable by slavery and/or death in “humane” jails and heavily regulated private prisons. Slavery is for those who have few offenses while the death sentence is reserved for repeat offenders. Civil rights are observed, and trade is conducted with many nations, where oil and excess goods are bartered. But now, let’s take a closer look at The Kingdom of Candro.

What does Candro bring to the table?

A plethora of natural resources and one the strongest and most up to date air forces in the world. Our economy is doing great is one of the biggest in the world; opening up trade with Candro has proved to be a very profitable endeavor for many nations.

How do you stand on civil rights?

Drugs were never criminalized in Candro just regulated. Homosexuality and Bisexuality were accepted long before any nation that we know of. Transgenderism is widely accepted here. Overall People in Candro are freer than in a lot of nation despite rumors of the exact opposite.

Women’s rights?

I’d refer you to Amendment Two of our constitution, "Woman hold equal status among men and are to be subject to the same laws, privileges, and obligations as men."

What’s your nation’s number one priority?

Prevention of foreign invasion of the homeland.

Why? What prompts that kind of attention to that [foreign affair] branch?

Wide scale paranoia as well as the three historic attempts that fuel it.

What’s the deal with Kendor?

They declared war on Kzaria for ahem "The spread of western values and democracy." Nations like that deserve no respect, we refuse to have diplomacy, trade or even recognize the Kendorian state.

Do you have any leaders in history who inspire you? (IC & OOC)

OOC: I admire Napoleon and Caesar greatly and I cannot help but like Hannibal and Genghis Khan. The story of Nobunaga, Hideyoshi, and Ieyasu is also something I find interesting.

IC: I look up to Kali and Fredrick as examples as great rulers and I truly believe that greatest ruler of Candro perhaps even the world was Philip.

If you were to give advice to a new player, what would you tell them?

If someone is arguing with you, look at it from their perspective, it really helps.

Can your leader give me a quote about your nation?

"It is the power rested in me by the people to govern Candro in a way that does not violate the constitution and protects their civil liberties; not by god or by blood or anything else do I rule. The sole reason that I rule is that the people allow it."

Ok - Now is your time to say whatever you want to say. Go. (IC, OOC, RL)

Kek bless animu the greatest invention of mankind. Donald Trump was sent by kek to purge us of our sins against animu and liberty. Kek loves those who truly worship his greatness called otakus. The only way to lead a fulfilled life is to watch animu and read the mangas and listen to the holy vociliod. All prophets are false the only true prophet is Donald trump and the only true message can be found in the blessed items kek brought called Otaku things.

I have so enjoyed working with each of you to create articles about your nations. You put so much thought and work into your countries and I am thrilled to be a part of sharing your stories with others. Keep ‘em coming, RIA. :)
