RIA Olympics Running Smoothly


The RIA Summer Olympics have been underway - that means we're all in competition for those gold medals! The nations competing in this year's games are:

After a lively and continuously entertaining opening ceremony, the athletes began their journey through the summer games. In the first day of events, many gathered in several locations to see the following competitions: Football, Shooting, Waterpolo, Tennis (singles), and BMX Cycling. Gold medals went to Babylatia (women's rifle 50m 3-positions), Candro (men's rifle 50m Prone), Darenne (wen's BMX), Dixadoing (Men's rifle 50m 3-positions and women's BMX), IGU (Mmen's team sailing), LMI (men's rifle 10m, women's rifle 10m), and Usniya (women's rifle 50m prone). Wins went to Usniya, AW and Babylatia in Men's Football. The winners of the Women's Football game were Alossa, Babylatia, Dixadoing and Darenne. Usniya, IGU, Candro, Scepez, AO, Alossa, LMI and Dixadoing will advance to the next round of Waterpolo. Flowrisa, Usniya, AW, and Darenne were victorious in Men's Singles Tennis.

Day two events began: Equestrian jumping, Basketball, Swimming, Baseball, Road Race cycling, Marathon, Hockey, Tennis, and Lacrosse.

Gold medals were won by Alossa (Men's swimming 50m freestyle), Babylatia (Men's marathon and men's swimming 200m freestyle), Candro (Women's swimming 200m butterfly), Darenne (Women's swimming 100m backstroke, women's swimming 100m breaststroke , Women's swimming 100m freestyle, and women's swimming 200m breaststroke), Dixadoing (Women's equestrian jumping, men's swimming 100m freestyle, and women's marathon), Flowrisa (men's swimming 100m butterfly, men's swimming 200m breaststroke, and women's swimming 200m freestyle), IGU (men's swimming 200m backstroke), KA (men's swimming 100m backstroke), NC (men's swimming 100m breaststroke), Scepez (women's swimming 50m freestyle, men's swimming 200m butterfly, and men's cycling road race), and Usniya (men's equestrian jumping, women's swimming 100m butterfly, women's swimming 200m backstroke).

The following countries were victorious in other games: Usniya, AO, Candro, and Darenne (men's basketball, day one); IGU, AO, NC, and Dixadoing (Women's basketball, day one); AW, Alossa, NC, and Candro will advance to the next level of men's baseball; Dixadoing, Candro, Alossa, and IGU will advance to round two of women's baseball. Hockey winners include AO, Candro, Flowrisa, and Scepez (men), and Usniya, Scepez, AO, and Kerguelen (women).

Mixed double tennis victories went to Candro, Darenne, NC, and Dixadoing. AO, IGU, Babylatia and Dixadoing are all advancing to the next round of men's lacrosse while AO, AW, Darenne and Babylatia are preparing for the women's lacrosse semifinals.
