Meet the Renegades: The Stratocratic Duchy of The Lowlands and Saxony

Tourism isn't that big in The Lowlands and Saxony. Most tourists come to admire the militaristic culture and come to spot equipment such as planes and tanks, as they are a common sight in Saxonian streets and skies. Besides that the Royal Palace in Utrecht is something people come to visit, but you need to apply 3 weeks in advance and undergo a thorough background check before you may come close to it.

Some common international holidays like Christmas and Easter are present here as well. The Biblical story behind those days are obscured however, as religion is banned. Besides that there's independence they, when we celebrate the forming of the Grand Duchy we know today.

The restaurants in the hotels are most common and sell decent food for decent prizes. What kind of food or prize is depending on what kind of hotel you are staying in

Words from your leader (IC):

There are a few goals to strive for in live and in governing: Strength through unity and national adherence, strength through prosperity and hard labour and strength through force and adequate defence. Without these goals, a nation is vulnerable. This can also be said on a business level or even a personal level: Without money or capital, strong (social) connections and a strong foundation to fall back on when necessary, you are exposed to the cruel world without anything to defend with.

Do you have historical landmarks?

Statues and memorabilia of generals from even before the current form of this nation (founded 1965) are still present. Propaganda tells that the actions of these heroes are underappreciated thanks to the failures of their governments. Thus, the Saxonian government, who recognizes and honours the soldiers of the past and of today, is superior to its predecessors.

Hotels and other accommodations?

The capital and economic centres (Utrecht, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague) have a multitude of hotels. These hotels are mostly business oriented since most foreigners come for business instead of vacation. Bed and Breakfasts or other places to stay are a rare sight for the very same reason.

What is the first thing one sees/hears when entering Lowlands & Saxony?

One who arrives at the border, be it in a airport, seaport or at a land border, will be met by the officers of the Gendarme force Haagse Schutters. They will perform a passport and background check before you are admitted to the nation. You will be transported by a taxi service to your place of stay (this is paid by the visitor him/herself). A guidebook will be given with general rules, guidelines and costumes to inform on the do's and don'ts. Businessmen will see little of the nation, as their visa is restricted to the destinations of stay and business. Tourist have more freedom, but are to report their presence every evening as is stated in their visa.
